Tracy contacted us urgently on a Saturday afternoon and informed us that she had a gas smell coming from her cupboard. She was frantically searching for a plumbing company available for immediate dispatch when she came across Link Plumbing.

Our team responded immediately and had a technician sent to her Mosman property. When they arrived, the technician went straight to work by turning off the property’s gas supply at the meter to ensure the safety of Tracy, himself, and the home. During the investigation to locate the leak, the problem was identified as a gas leak due to a loose joint in the supply line to a recently improperly disconnected oven.

The technician informed Tracy of the underlying cause of the leak and performed a repair by capping off the gas line, turning the supply to Tracy’s home back on and conducting a thorough test of his repair to guarantee there were no existing or possible leaks. During this time, the technician also performed additional services to the home. He removed any air from the line to ensure a constant flow of gas to the cooktop by purging and igniting it and reignited the pilot light on the gas storage water heater.
